Are there any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"?

As said in Question 1, the novel portrays a very important theme: good against evil, and which way is the best way to walk down. Currect situations in the world which can relate to this, there are just so many. Such include: Peer-pressure on teens, cheating, stealing, murder, general crime, terrorism, politics, and anything else which can relate to a "bad" things in anyone's life; a disagreement. This affects so much of us. It is like the story in Star Wars: The jedi are out to save and help the people in their galaxy, raised that way. But they might come across the "dark side" which is like force which might consume you. Anakin Skywalker is such in the story; he was raised as a jedi but becomes too easily influenced by evil by his own glory, egocentrism, and mainly, power. Most of the issues today which this theme applies to all relate to power. What is power? Golding conveys what power is. Is power your OWN power, your own glory, your own honor. But what is GOOD is not your power, your glory, or your honor. It is to honor others, glorify God, and give others power. Golding shows that the "good" side is the way to get by, and this can be resolved in current day life. If all the major countries could just agree on a simple plan, or all the problems in which all of humanity faces everyday could be resolved by all people involved in each one by simply giving in, then we are all satisfied.
